Imelda and her husband, Yonal, along with their young family live in Colasay, near the town of Jaen, Peru.

We first visited his farm in September of 2019, and visited most recently in October, 2024.

Their farm is predominantly bourbon, Caturra, Marshel, and Geisha varieties. Aside from coffee, Imelda and Yonal also have a sizeable facility where they raise and sell cuy (Guinea pig), which are quite delicious :)

Located at around 1700m altitude, the name farm name, El , is in regards to the tree with the same name that grows on the property.

This coffee is sweet and syrupy, with notes of red plum and dark chocolate.
